Q 1-Who had inspired Sunderlal in his childhood, and how?
Ans 1- Sundar Lal who was born in the Himalayan region was inspired by the the freedom led by Mahatma Gandhi. Even after independence SundarLal fought for many social crimes like Untouchability. After this, he was also inspired by his mother Purna Devi and other women who worked hours n hours expecting no reward.
By seeing this he was very much inspired.
Q 2- Which concern motivated Sunderlal to initiate the Chipko Movement/
Ans 2- The concern which motivated SunDaRlAL to initiate Chipko Movement was the sufferings of hardworking women who spent hours and hours to collect the Faggots.

Ans 3- There was a great need for wood in big cities and so there prices were also high.Timber Merchants would make huge profits and grow very rich on the timber trade.Thus, Timber Merchants would cut down the trees .

Ans 4- When Sunderlal encouraged the hill women to start the chipko movement, the women understood his point. They understood the way how to do Chipko Movement to protect our trees. SundarLal toldthen the old story of the bishnoi women whodid the same thing and they also even lost their lives in protecting the beautiful trees. They started hugging the trees and told the crual soldiers that if they want to cut trees, they have to cut us first… This effort made a great difference. The news of their Brave work , spreaded and people started supporting them. Everywhere, people realized the importance of trees and started to save them…
