Hello Aarti,
Getting nervous before the exam is nothing strange. It used to happen with me during school and college days. But the key is to maintain your cool and focus on tasks at hand. See, there are two kinds of students, one who are very disciplined and they know most of the stuff before the exam; second (to whom I belong) those who try to cram and study everything just before the exam. I guess you belong to the second category :-) Don't worry most of us belong out there…
Now there are few things you can do before the exam to maintain your cool. Always remember that you can score good marks by studying important topics. So, be on a lookout for important topics in the course, ask your friends, teachers which topics are important and study them first. That will give you a lot of moral boost-up that you have covered good topics already. Don't overburden yourself with topics….. whatever you do, do it right and in-depth. To give you one example, during my IIT preparation I ended up with 2 months before exam and lot of subjects at hand… So I prioritized my subjects and did the impiortant topics first and see I finally got selected……
Secondly, one common mistake that most of us do, studying late before the exam…. Take a good night sleep to rejuvenate your grey cells….. That will make you stay fresh during the exam….
If you have trouble with any particular topic, let me know… I will give you advice on how to tackle the subject…
Take care and always be confident in life……… There are many people like us who rely on last minute cramming to get through ;)
