MY QUESTION IS THAT IS IT NECESSARY TO HAVE AN AIM?
Good question. Let's say you're on a boat on the sea. Suppose your destination is fixed - say you want to go 50 nautical miles down south. What will you do? Make every effort to steer the boat southwards, right? Now, suppose you don't know the destination at all. Then? What will you do? Perhaps allow the boat to just go wherever the wind takes it.
That is what having an aim in life is all about - having a clear goal gives you a direction and motivation to achieve it. If you don't have an aim, you'll be floating around like that boat and one day you may find that you have arrived at a destination where you never wanted to be! So, better have an aim than be directionless. What the aim should be is entirely your own choice, others can only suggest some good options.
Swami Vivekananda says, "If a man with an ideal makes 1,000 mistakes, those without an ideal will make 100,000 mistakes." That is the power of having an ideal, an aim in front of us.
all the best!
